Big Think, 4 min, NaN views, Oct 13, 2025

Show description

Being stuck in your own perspective and struggling to put yourself in someone else’s proverbial shoes can be one of the biggest triggers of conflict. Your irritation that a coworker always extends meetings by asking for items to be restated at the end (They’re stealing five minutes from your break!) might blind you to the fact they’re a visual learner who needs verbal instructions repeated. In this video lesson, workplace expert Amy Gallo walks you through principles for developing self- and other-awareness so you can get along better at work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go Deeper with Big Think: ►Become a Big Think Member Get exclusive content, early, ad-free access to new releases, and more. https://www.youtube.com/@bigthink/membership/ ►Subscribe to Big Think on Substack Explore content that enlightens, inspires, and transforms. https://bigthinkmedia.substack.com/subscribe/ ►Get Big Think+ for Business Engage learners like never before with high-impact video microlearning from the biggest thinkers in the world. https://bigthink.com/plus/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=youtube_description ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About Amy Gallo: Amy Gallo is an expert in conflict, communication, and workplace dynamics.
