Big Think, 9 min, NaN views, Oct 13, 2025

Show description

Philosopher Richard Rose once said, “The ego is the single biggest obstruction to the achievement of anything.” Yet at work, where we’re trying to accomplish so much, egos are everywhere. Workplace expert Amy Gallo has pinpointed archetypes of people whose egos make it challenging to get along and get things done and argues the key to working with them is often helping them feel more secure and expanding their view beyond themselves. In this video lesson, Gallo explores ego-based archetypes and offers wisdom on how to navigate working with them so you can achieve great things together. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go Deeper with Big Think: ►Become a Big Think Member Get exclusive content, early, ad-free access to new releases, and more. https://www.youtube.com/@bigthink/membership/ ►Subscribe to Big Think on Substack Explore content that enlightens, inspires, and transforms. https://bigthinkmedia.substack.com/subscribe/ ►Get Big Think+ for Business Engage learners like never before with high-impact video microlearning from the biggest thinkers in the world. https://bigthink.com/plus/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=youtube_description ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About Amy Gallo: Amy Gallo is an expert in conflict, communication, and workplace dynamics.
